Doug Wind has run the Ishihara-Johnson Teflon bladed crankscraper and windage tray set in the 2010 through 2013 season.
This scraper is a replacement for the stock pan gasket and is a dual scraper design that works on the upstroke and downstroke. RTV silicone gasket maker is suggested to seal the scraper to the block and oil pan; Permatex Ultra Black is known to work well.
The SRT4 and P.T. Cruiser Turbo gasket already has a scraper built into it but this dual scraper offers far more coverage of the rotating assembly on both the up- and downstroke. It has acceleration trap doors to help stop oil from climbing the rear of the pan -- great for drag racers. During normal operation the doors allow draining of oil from the side of the block that settles on top of the scraper.
Early 2.4 as in Stratus (NO oil passages in the oil pan). Note: if you use an SRT4 oil pump then that converts the early engine to a late engine for scraper purposes.
A: WITH BALANCE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (functional or non-functional)
The two piece design above is to allow installation of the scraper without the need to remove the balance shaft assembly. If the engine is still in the vehicle this is a great advantage. If you would like the assembly made as one piece then you must specifically request that. Includes two acceleration trap doors that help prevent oil rushing up the side of the block.
$114.95
Teflon bladed version $244.95
B: WITHOUT BALANCE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
The one piece design also allows installation of most aftermarket strap kits. Three acceleration trap doors are included.
$124.95
Teflon bladed version: $254.95
C: Triple layer windage tray and oil pan trap door assembly (balance shaft assembly must be removed, of course). See description below. This assembly includes the dual scraper (the windage tray mounts to the scraper).
$444.95
Teflon bladed version: $574.95

Late 2.4 as in P.T. Cruiser, 2.4T (as in SRT4: WITH oil passages in oil pan):
A: WITH BALANCE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
The two piece design (similar to above pictures) is to allow installation of the scraper without the need to remove the balance shaft assembly. If the engine is still in the vehicle this is a great advantage. If you would like the assembly made as one piece then you must specifically request that. Includes two acceleration trap doors that help prevent oil rushing up the side of the block. An O-ring set is included to help seal the oil passages (picture below).
$184.95
Teflon bladed version: $314.95

B: WITHOUT BALANCE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
The dual scraper allows installation of most aftermarket strap kits. Three acceleration trap doors are included. An O-ring set is included to help seal the oil passages (picture below).
$194.95
Teflon bladed version: $324.95
C: Triple layer windage tray and oil pan trap door assembly (balance shaft assembly must be removed, of course). See description below. This assembly includes the dual scraper (the windage tray mounts to the scraper).

Teflon bladed version: $624.95

For 2.4 owners that removed their balance shafts we have a triple layer windage tray with baffles and trap doors available for the Early and Late 2.4 as used in the Neon and PT Cruiser, among other vehicles. It attaches to a modified standard steel or Teflon® scraper framework. It has a center interior wall to help to segregate the piston bays. This helps to inhibit the travel of excess oil in a windage cloud from one area of the crank to another. You get to keep your high quality steel or cast OEM aluminum sump but with better oil control. Please specify if you have the steel or aluminum sump.
Also, you will get our special block-off washer and bolt to use to cover the oil feed line to the balance shafts.
This scraper and windage tray system is dyno tested and proven! This setup has a total of 5 independent trap doors -- two in the sump to control oil movement from side to side and three on the underside of the scraper frame. The latter three close under hard acceleration when oil may try to climb the backside of the block. Ideal for drag racing! In the front is a shelf that helps block oil from climbing the frontside of the block under heavy braking. Ideal for road racing! A dipstick guide tube makes installation even easier. Directional screening now covers the louver openings on the top windage tray.
The baffle designs on all models have a Teflon collar for the pickup tube.
The system is now made for an engine with or without a strap kit.

No Problem! We have a special baffle designed just for this application and it doesn't cost any extra if you specify it when you order your setup, otherwise it is only $49.00; the baffle now includes a Teflon collar to help seal the opening (not shown):
Some racers are using the early 2.4 pan and oil pump in later vehicles since it is easier to run a remote filter and cooler with that setup. If you are using the early 2.4 pickup please let us know because we also have a special baffle just for that pickup.
